Why PhysioZen
Calm clinic, serious care
Recovery works best when you feel heard, unhurried, and clear on the plan. That's how every visit here is run.
Truly one-on-one
Your appointment time is yours. No being passed between staff or left alone with a machine while your therapist sees someone else.
A plan built for you
Treatment starts from your assessment and your goals — the hike, the shift at work, the game on Sunday — not a generic printout.
Specialized expertise
Pelvic health and vestibular rehabilitation under one roof — specialized care that usually means referrals and long waits elsewhere.

New to physiotherapy? Here's exactly how a first appointment at PhysioZen unfolds — no surprises.
1
We listen & assess
Your physiotherapist asks about your history, your symptoms, and what you want to get back to — then assesses how you move, your strength, and what's driving the problem.
2
You get a clear plan
You'll hear, in plain language, what we found, what treatment will involve, and roughly how recovery is expected to progress — with your goals at the centre of it.
3
Treatment begins
Most first visits include hands-on treatment and your first home exercises, so you leave already moving in the right direction — not just with a diagnosis.

No. In Ontario you can see a physiotherapist directly, without a referral. Some insurance plans ask for one for reimbursement, so it's worth a quick check of your coverage — otherwise, just book.
What is pelvic health physiotherapy?
It's specialized physiotherapy for the pelvic floor muscles and related concerns — such as pelvic pain, incontinence, and recovery during and after pregnancy. Sessions are one-on-one and private, and everything is explained before it happens, at a pace you're comfortable with.
Can physiotherapy help with dizziness and vertigo?
Often, yes. Many causes of dizziness — including BPPV, the most common cause of vertigo — respond well to vestibular rehabilitation: specific repositioning techniques and exercises that retrain your balance system. Your first visit includes an assessment to find out what's causing your symptoms.
What should I wear to my appointment?
Comfortable clothing you can move in. Shorts help for hip, knee, or ankle concerns; a tank top or t-shirt works well for neck and back issues. You'll always be draped appropriately, and your comfort comes first.
Is physiotherapy covered by insurance?
PhysioZen is not OHIP-funded, but most extended health plans provide coverage — and we accept insurance with direct billing through major extended health plans, including Sun Life, Canada Life, Manulife, GreenShield, and Blue Cross. Our services are also covered by WSIB and IFHP. We currently do not process MVA claims.
How much does treatment cost?
A general initial physiotherapy assessment is $110 for 50 minutes, and follow-up sessions range from $80–$120 depending on time and your condition. Not sure where to start? A free 10-minute discovery call is highly recommended to address your questions and concerns first.
Where exactly are you located? Is there parking?
We're inside Lawrence Warden Medical Centre at Unit A, 2050 Lawrence Avenue East, Scarborough — at the intersection of Lawrence Ave E and Warden Ave, on the main floor and wheelchair accessible. The nearest landmark is Shoppers Drug Mart; please use the medical clinic's separate entrance, not the Shoppers entrance. There is ample free parking in front of the medical centre.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours in advance, so we can offer the appointment to another patient. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may incur a cancellation fee.
